Privacy & song takedowns
Last updated 28 October 2026
Remix Tiles is a free, unofficial fan game. There are no accounts, no ads and nothing is sold. Questions, privacy requests and takedown requests go to [email protected].
What stays on your device
Your level, XP, records, achievements, favorites, recently played songs and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device. The game also keeps its own files and your last few songs in the browser cache so it can open quickly and work offline. To delete all of it, use Settings → Visuals → Reset all progress in the game, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
Analytics, only if you allow it
The first time you visit, the game asks whether you allow anonymous analytics. Until you tap Allow, nothing is sent and no cookie is set. What you do before answering waits on your device and is sent only if you allow it; if you tap No thanks, it's thrown away.
If you allow it, the game uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) to learn which songs and features players enjoy and where the game breaks. It measures:
- pages opened and how long the game took to load;
- game events: songs opened and played, difficulty, score, grade, how far into a song you got, retries, searches, favorites, shares, settings you change, installing the app;
- technical details: browser, device type, screen size, frame rate, touch or keyboard, error messages;
- your approximate location (country and city), which Google works out from your IP address. Google says Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses.
Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and the data isn't used to show you ads.
Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Google sets two cookies, _ga and
_ga_HWMEEZE2SH, which last up to two years and let it recognise a returning visit.
See Google's privacy policy and
how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
You can also change it any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of the game's song list.
Services your browser connects to
To play, your browser talks to a few other services directly. Each one sees your IP address and browser details as part of the connection, under its own privacy policy:
| Service | What for |
|---|---|
| BeatSaver | the song list, covers, song previews and the map files you play |
| Cloudflare | hosts this website (standard server and security logs) and counts page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites |
| jsDelivr | only on older browsers that can't play the songs' audio format, to download an audio decoder |
| Google Analytics | only if you allow analytics (see above) |
Your rights
Remix Tiles itself doesn't hold any information that identifies you. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California) you have the right to access, delete or object to the use of personal data. You can withdraw analytics consent above at any time, and clearing this site's data removes everything stored on your device. For anything else, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Remix Tiles is made for a general audience and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Songs, charts and takedowns
Every song belongs to its artist and rights holders, and every chart to the mapper who made it on BeatSaver. Remix Tiles doesn't host song files: they stream from BeatSaver's public API when you play, and each song shows its mapper and links back to BeatSaver.
If you hold the rights to a song and want it removed from Remix Tiles, email [email protected] with:
- the song and artist, and the BeatSaver link or map ID (it's in the song's share link, for example
remixtiles.com/?song=7e6b); - your name and how you're connected to the work (artist, label, publisher, or someone acting for them);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorised.
We'll remove the song, or all songs by an artist, from Remix Tiles promptly, usually within a few days. To have a map removed from BeatSaver itself, please also contact BeatSaver.
